Matthew Carpenter-Arevalo

Matthew Carpenter-Arévalo is the CEO and founder of Centrico Digital. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Matthew graduated from St. Thomas University and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford where he graduated with a Masters in Philosophy.

From 2008-2011 Matthew worked at Google as a manager in the Online Partnerships Organization. He later joined Twitter as partner lead for Latin America. In 2011 Matthew was nominated a Global Leadership Fellow by the World Economic Forum.

Matthew contributes to publications such as TechCrunch and previously TheNextWeb, often writing about the intersection of technology, politics, economics, and society in Latin America and the world. He also writes a column about Ecuadorian life and society in the Spanish language publication Gk.City.

Matthew is married to the Ecuadorian social entrepreneur Michelle Arévalo-Carpenter. Together they live in Quito and have twin boys.
